Home History

Kingston Estates Ltd. is a long established developer of first class commercial and fine residential properties.

It is a privately owned family company, and descends from the Kingstons Group of Companies that was established in 1929 by Jack Hickman, the present Chairman’s father.

The origins of the group sprang from the Surrey based estate agency, Hickman & Bishop.

Over the years, the company has developed thousands of houses and flats, mainly in the Home Counties and South East England, but also in the USA and Bermuda. They were pioneers in devising the mechanism for selling mortgagable flats after World War II, which became the blueprint for many other developers.

At one time the Kingston Building Company was building 365 houses a year for H.B. Kingston (as it then was).

Out of town offices also became a specialisation in the 1970s and 1980s as well as industrial development in the 1980s and 1990s.

Today, Kingston Estates continues to develop bespoke buildings as well as managing a varied portfolio of investments.
